Ready, Set, Celebrate
Homecoming is here and you are invited to join our celebration. We have a variety of events and activities to help rev up for Saturday's game against Air Force. The theme of this year's homecoming is "It's Magic."
Homecoming Week events include:
Monday, Oct. 13 – Homecoming Kickoff: Help the campus jumpstart homecoming 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on the Student Union Courtyard, Pida Plaza, and North Field.
Monday, Oct. 13 – Golf Tournament: Tee off at Badlands Golf Club for this annual favorite. Check-in is at 10:30 a.m. Play begins at noon. Proceeds will benefit the Fred Albrecht Tribute Scholarship Endowment.
Cost: $150 per person or $600 per team. Tee sponsorships are available. Call 702-895-3621 with questions.
Thursday, Oct. 16 – Rebel Rally: Alumni, faculty, staff, and students will root on the Rebels in this annual pep rally beginning at 11 a.m. at the Alumni Amphitheater.
Friday, Oct. 17 – Rebel Red Day: Support the university and Rebel football. Wear Rebel Red to work, school, and play.
Friday, Oct. 17 – Alumni Cocktail Reception and Dinner: Activities include a silent auction benefiting student scholarships and recognition of the Outstanding Alumnus of the Year and Silver State Award honorees. Cocktails begin at 6 p.m. and dinner is at 7:30 p.m.

Friday, Oct. 17 – Runnin' Rebels First Look ‘08: Get a sneak peek at the men's basketball team during its opening practice at the Thomas & Mack Center beginning at 9 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 18 – Parade: Back at Sam Boyd Stadium by popular demand, the homecoming parade will begin at 5 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 18 – Football Tailgate and Game: UNLV hosts Air Force in the 7 p.m. matchup. Halftime will feature the homecoming court and alumni winners. The homecoming tailgate begins at 4 p.m. at Sam Boyd Stadium. The Alumni Association tailgate is free to association members. For game tickets, call 702-739-3267 or go to unlvtickets.com.
